American Dream
We're talking about the American Dream in english class, and whether or not it is objective or subjective, and it got me to thinking, what really is everyone's opinion of the American Dream? So, tell me, what do you think is the American Dream? Is it wealth? Is it a family? What is it to you and what are your thoughts on it?

Almost all good things come to an end, like this summer, for example. As glorious and fun and lively as it was, it had to stop and step aside so that school and real life could come barging back in, throw themselves onto myself, and demand full attention. Of all the changes that are happening, from not being able to go somewhere whenever I can get a ride; to not being able to prioritize things according to what is easiest for myself, my family, and my friends; and even the troublesome practice of getting up before 9:00; the worst is that I am starting to see things. Just today, I thought I saw two of my friends, but it wasn't them. I am telling the truth. There was this short brunette with long hair and khol lined eyes; I thought it was Amanda until I saw the rest of her face. The other is this boy who I think I should remember, but know that I have never met. Another thing, it feels like none of this- none of this school, or classes, or homework, or freshmen, or new locker, new teachers, different people, different settings, new group, missing friends- is real. Like a dream, some sort of pretend world where we all have to grow up and learn and let go, that's what I've been walking through the past two days. Here's a photo for your trouble, if anyone has read this.

Summer 2010: Part Whatever
I'm not even going to try to keep this organised. I'll be putting all my pictures from the summer on Picasa albums, so if you want to sift through all those suckers, be my guest. Here's the rest of Creationfest:

The Matrix Marathon
When Amanda found out that some of us had never seen the Matrix (I was not part of the guilty party), she decided to have a Matrix Marathon at her house. It was very fun, and afterward there was gelling of hair and decoration of cookies.

When Amanda, Kelsea and I woke up after our sleepover we had waffles. Yum!
Later, around 3:00, Timothy picked us up and we had a hick party at a creepy playground.
Then we went to the play, which will be featured in a different post.
